What is the 3 Step Stimulation Peel?

The 3 step stimulator peel has 3 different ingredients, and has 3 steps! The ingredients are:

Step 1: Salicylic acid, Lactic acid and Trichloracetic acid

Step 2: 6% retinol cream is applied directly after your peel and then more is applied after 5 hours

Step 3: A calming cream that is applied straight after your peel and then several times for the days following your peel.

Treatment Case Study on Client:

As an acne sufferer, I have used ZO skin health for several years. Since starting with ZO Skin Health, I have been able to manage my acne and mainly only suffer from hormonal breakouts.

Started every 3rd day and built up to daily use.

This was used every day for 4 weeks then stopped 3 days to the peel.

TREATMENT

My face was cleansed and prepared with alcohol (this smelt strong).

I then had the peel applied, which was done 3 times. I could feel my skin get warmer with each application which is slightly uncomfortable but subsided quickly. I was also given a fan to cool my skin.

Following this, a 6% Retinol Crème was applied and finally, a Hydrating Crème was applied.

Post Peel:

My skin felt hot & tingly with visible redness. I was given a Hydrating Crème to re-hydrate the skin post peel. My face felt warm for the next 24 hours. I left the peel on overnight and was given a sachet of Retinol Crème to apply the next morning.

Next day:

I washed my face with water and cleansed with an Exfoliating Cleanser. I then applied a Retinol Crème from the peel, followed by a Hydrating Crème & Heliocare. At this stage, my face felt tight and I experienced redness throughout the day.

There was no visible peeling yet.

Day 3:

I cleansed with Exfoliating Cleanser, Hydrating Crème & Heliocare. My Face felt tight and peeling started around nose & chin, which were a bit itchy.

Day 4- 6:

My skin was visibly peeling all over. My face felt tingly when cleansing and applying SPF. The areas of peeing felt tight/itchy (noticeable but not painful).

Day 7:

The peeling was almost finished. The redness subdued and it wasn't tight or itchy anymore.

My complexion was much brighter, clearer, and looked glowy. I then resumed my daily skincare routine but with Hydrating Crème also applied prior to Heliocare.

DO's & Don’ts following your chemical peel:

DO avoid direct sun exposure; stay away from intense heat and UV light
DO avoid wearing make-up for at least 4-6 hours
DO apply a high factor sunscreen; at least factor 30
DO keep your skincare routine gentle and simple for the next few days
DON'T exfoliate your skin or pick/pull off any flaky skin
DON'T use any acids, retinols or harsh chemicals on the skin for the next week
